Edward Gray is Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Elster Integrated Solutions. He is on the Boards of the Demand Response and Advanced Metering Coalition, the Peak Load Management Alliance, and the Power Equipment Division of the National Manufacturers Association.
After graduating from the US Naval Academy with a BS degree in Nuclear Science, Gray served on two nuclear submarines in engineering and communications. Following military service he worked at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission on nuclear power plant safety; the Tennessee Valley Authority on nuclear and fossil plant safety and environmental assessments; at the Electric Power Research Institute on technology transfer for multiple generating technologies (nuclear, fossil, renewables); at the National Electrical Manufacturers Association on national and international product standards, and in government relations, where he drafted provisions of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, as well as the bonus depreciation tax bills of 2002 and 2003. He has an MS degree in Nuclear Engineering from Ohio State.
